Desert Winter

I like textures in paintings and I recently got some crackle paste.

In its usual dry state, crackle paste looks like a dried lake bed (see bottom right corner). I also realised I could make the paste into a different texture if I poked it before it dried (bottom left corner).

The result of this little experimentation was this painting.
